Five Minute Friends

I’ve often used the term “five-minute friend” to describe others and I always get a really funny look. Quite simply, I use the term or acronym FMF to refer to random people I meet in life, spend a very short amount of time with, then both of us go on our merry way. It’s not meant that these people are disposable, just that life works in such a way where our paths only cross for that long.

These can be people you meet at a store, sit next to at a sporting event or converse with at a bar. Homeless people are perhaps my favorite kind of five-minute friends as I love talking to them for a few before giving them a couple bucks.

So on the urging of a five-minute boss, I started this Tumblr to highlight all the lovely FMFs around plus some funny stuff alone the way. Giggling is my favorite.
